Ukraine and Great Britain continue to strengthen their partnership

According to the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ukrainian and British officials held the third round of negotiations to conclude a bilateral agreement on the transition to a stronger and deeper partnership, discussed changes to the project and approved its structure.

“In furtherance of the agreements between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Keir Starmer, reached during the President’s recent visit to London, Ukraine and the UK held the third round of negotiations on a bilateral agreement on the transition to a stronger and deeper partnership.” , says the press release.

“I am glad that we have made significant progress and agreed on a number of priority sections of the future agreement. This will be a historical document that will consolidate the main directions of our cooperation for the long term – from security to economics, from energy to culture and art,” said Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva, who led the Ukrainian team at the negotiations.

It is also noted that both delegations approved a schedule for the next steps in further work on the project.

In August 2024, Ukraine and the UK held a second round of negotiations to conclude a bilateral agreement on the transition to a stronger and deeper partnership.
