Welcome back GHC members! We hope you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to starting Global Hamilton Connect’s second year with us as much as we are! As an executive board we are happy to share with you some of our upcoming events and opportunities to be involved in the city. We welcome all new members and look forward to seeing the rest of you.
Exactly one year ago we launched Global Hamilton Connect with a Fall Social event. Come join our one year celebration and tell us what you would like GHC to offer you this year. Meet other students and young professionals in the city, play some games, and hear Leo Johnson from Empowerment Squared speak about his experience coming to Canada as a young man and the amazing work he has been doing to help others locally and internationally.
Leo is the founder/executive director of Empowerment Squared. He moved to Canada in 2006 after spending eight years as a refugee. With a vision to help youth in Canada and Liberia become champions in their communities, he started Empowerment Squared.
